Choosing a veneer dentist in LA usually starts with photos. That is a good place to start. Photos show you what a dentist can do.
The consultation shows you how they will do it for you. Here are four questions I would want any patient to bring, including to my own chair.
Will I see my new smile before the porcelain is made?
You should. In my practice, your temporaries are not a placeholder. They are a real preview of the final result, and you live in them for two to three weeks.
The next day, once you are no longer numb, we review color, shape and proportion together. Nothing goes to the lab until you sign off.
Who makes my veneers?
Porcelain is made by hand, by a ceramist. Ask who that is and how closely they work with your dentist. My ceramists are in our in-house lab. I wrote about why that matters in who actually makes your veneers.
How much of my tooth will you change?
The honest answer is specific to your teeth, and a good dentist will explain it plainly. I answer it in how much will you shave my teeth.
What happens after insert day?
Veneers are an investment in your face for the next two decades. A few days after insert day, our hygienist sees you. After that, I want to see you quarterly, and at minimum once a year.
For the full picture of how I plan a smile, read my guide to porcelain veneers in Beverly Hills. And if you want to see the work itself, start with before and after smile transformations. I’m based in Los Angeles and take one trip a month to our New York office.
